Suseptability: Infants are at risk of a variety of lower respiratory virus strains and many will cause bronchiolitis. One, RSV, seems to set an infant up for recurrent bronchiolitis from other lower respiratory viruses for more than a year. Many are quite wheezy off and on for at least a year. Normal kids grow out of this tendency by 4-5, while those with an asthma tendency remain at risk.
