Monitor closely: Typically, cool mist, keeping her upright, and well hydrated help. Monitor her intake, her comfort level, her cough frequency and color. If she is vomiting, breathing quickly and using her muscles-chest, neck etc., she must go to the hospital. Keep in contact with her pediatrician, as he or she might want to see her over the course of the illness.
