A member asked:

What is the different between a finger sprain and a fracture / dislocation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ligaments: A sprain is where you fully or partially tear the ligaments supporting the finger joint. A fracture is a broken bone. A dislocation is when the finger is out of the socket or out of position due to the ligament having been completely ruptured or outstretched.
