Let me help: If you do not have fracture does not mean you do not have problems. I will do this, wear wrist support for a week , take Motrin 400 mg with food and see if improved if it did most likely is minor sprain, if did not go to the doctor and check it out.

A sprain can be mild: Moderate or severe. If there is laxity in the joint then at times surgery is needed. If the joint is stable often splinting in the proper position temporarliy to reduce swelling followed by buddy taping for protection and gentle return of mtion will help. Persistant swelling or stiffness should prompt a reevaluation but it can take time ( months) even for a simple minimal avulsion or sprain.

Have it evaluated: Your pain could be as a result of many different things. One would need to do a thorough history and physical exam and possibly some radiology exams to determine the exact cause. Have it evaluated by a professional to see if you have fractured it of if it is just a soft tissue injury such as a contusion or a sprain. You may have injured nerves, blood vesicles, muscles, ligaments or tendons.
