Your choice: Many peds will see kids well into their late teens & transition them to adult care by high school graduation. Some Move on in their early teens often from peer pressure. You may want to take the opportunity to establish care with a new GP now, but understand that schooling or other issues may push another change in a couple years either way.

Pediatrician: Most pediatricians now see their patients till age 21 and many for another year (until college graduation). You are still at an age when you can benefit from a pediatrician's expertise now and for at least the next 5 years. A pediatrician may spend more time with you talking about adolescent issues. A GP who sees a lot of adolescents is an option also;this may be the case in some areas.
