Less than that:-(: Diabetes is defined as a glucose of higher than 126 while fasting or a random glucose of 200 or higher. So normal would be less than those numbers.

245 mg/dL NOT normal: Normal fasting blood sugar is between 65-99 mg/dl. Two-hours following a meal or oral glucose tolerance test, blood sugar should be <140 mg/dl. A blood sugar of 245 mg/dl is definitely in the range of diabetes. Please see your physician right away.

Not normal: Fasting sugar should be < 100, 2 hours after meal blood sugar should be < 140. These are values taken from a blood test and not a glucometer. If your 245 is from a glucometer, see your doctor to be tested for diabetes. A test called A1c can tell you how high your blood sugars have been over the last 2-3 months. Good luck!

It depends.: A "normal sugar" is defined as 70 to 99 mg/dL. Since you have diabetes there are diff goals at diff times of the day & based on your health. For an otherwise healthy male with DM fasting BS (by the ADA) should be 80-130 & 1-2 hours after a meal 80-180 mg/dl. In the am I ideally say 80 to 110 or 120, premeal I use the same, 1 hour post meal < 180 & 2 hrs < 160 & ideally < 140. Avoiding low sugars!
