Pristiq/weight: Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) is usually weight neutral. Weight gain on this med is unusual. Every psychiatrist had seen unusual side effects with meds. If i see a patient with weight gain on pristiq, (desvenlafaxine) there are ways to deal with it such as transferring to another med or adding something that facilitates weight loss. Keep on mind it could be residual depression symptoms causing gain. Talk to prescriber soon!
