Numbness: Numb sensations are not normal. Tmj can have various symptoms, however...You should see the emergency room as soon as possible to rule out heart or stroke concerns. I am sure they will run blood tests and possibly a mri. Please do not delay.

Not liekly: Tmj means temperomandibular joint - or jaw joint. Problems of jaw related pain are called tmd or temperomandibular dysfunction. Sore muscles, joint noises, limited range of movement, pain on chewing, ear pain, facial pain, pain radiating down into the neck and shoulders, and even up to the temples and the top of head are more common presenting symptoms. Nose pain and numbness are not usually seen.

Numbness a concern: Numbness in the face presents a problem that i think and ENT or neurologist should see first. A tmj/tmd element, possibly, but a numbness can be from an infection (tooth, etc.) or another underlying issue.

Numbness: The symptoms that you describe may be attributed to many possible concerns. You did not mention the duration nor the onset of these symptoms. You may be experiencing a form of palsey but my best sugfestion is that you visit an oral maxillofacial surgeon, neurologist or your physician for an immediate and thorough examination.

No: Not TMJ symptoms. See an ENT doc to make sure there are no serious problems.
