A member asked:

Does ibs cramping feel like menstrual cramps?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily: Most people with ibs symptoms experience abdominal cramping that is oftentimes relieved with a bowel movement - which is often loose and has a sudden onset after certain foods or stressors. Menstrual cramps are usually more lengthy and are unrelated to the GI tract.
