Not really: By definition, irritable bowel syndrome (ibd) must include abdominal pain or discomfort of some sort along with diarrhea and/or constipation. If there is no pain we generally refer to the diseases as functional diarrhea or constipation. This is done primarily for classification for research purposes.

Yes: Other symptoms of IBS are bloating, constipation and/or diarrhea. Everyone's experience with IBS can be unique.
