A member asked:

Cramps under left & right rib area get better when i sleep and stay beter for few hours after waking up. is it indicative of ibs (irrtble bowl synd)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cramps: Recurrent abdominal cramps can occur in irritable bowel syndrome but usually there are other symptoms like bloating, constipation and/or episodes of urgent diarrhea. If you don't experience these other symptoms is it possible that you're having cramps from the abdominal muscles? Recurrent or frequent muscle cramps can occur with deficiencies of calcium, magnesium or potassium. Discuss this with MD
