My baby of 4 weeks has been coughing for 2 days. no fever or running nose but mucus. feeds well. doctor days bronchopneumonia and i doubt it. any idea?

Yes.: Whether it's bronchopneumonia or bronchiolitis or whooping cough, a 4 week old has a very naive immune system and can get very sick very quickly. Close follow-up and aggressive treatment may be necessary.

Post nasal drip: Your baby may have a post nasal drip which you are not aware of by virtue of the fact that she is sleeping most of the time and the discharge is developing retrograde. Use your vaporizer. Elevate his matress and use saline nose drops four times daily.
