A member asked:

Does low c3c combined with low phosphate levels always mean you have kidney disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Often C3 complement levels are a nonspecific marker of other possible problems like infection or autoimmune inflammation or lupus perhaps. But if you have normal kidney function otherwise that may not be the case. You might need to have your kidney function looked at more closely to be sure of this with other tests first.
