A member asked:

Is it a bad idea to fly with a perforated eardrum?

Dr. Ravi Samy answered

Should be ok: You are probably ok to fly. See an otologist. You need a hearing test. Stay on dry ear precautions. Your perforation is perhaps a sign of eustachian tube dysfunction. Make sure your other ear is not at risk of this as well.
