Asymptomatic : When the tooth is asymptomatic. Your dentist will proceed to seat your crown. Waiting too long can lead to tooth loss, so remember to complete your crown within 2 months, unless there are unusual circumstances which cause your dentist to wait.

Within 4 weeks: After root canal therapy the tooth is weaker an can fracture. A post and core may be indicated to build up the tooth but a crown will make the tooth stronger under full function. This all should be completed within 4 weeks post root canal therapy.
