Aerobics: Aerobic exercise for at least 30 minutes a day is an excellent way to burn fat resulting in better weight loss than one can get from yoga. Yoga is important for flexibility and core strengthening, however.

High impact: Sustained exercise for at least 20 minutes has been found to increase basal metabolic rate for up to 48 hours. Yoga is good for stress reduction.
