A 32-year-old member asked:

What are the best ways to fight a cold while breastfeeding?

1 doctor answer3 doctors weighed in
Dr. Shontae Buffington
Pediatrics 18 years experience
Hydration &Nutrition: Help the body fight the cold by drinking lots of fluids, especially water. Also a healthy diet will provide the energy needed to both fight the cold and continue to produce a healthy supply of breastmilk. Avoid over the counter cough medicines as these can interfere with the quality of your milk supply.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
