Blood in mucus: Unlikely that an isolated occurrence of blood in your phlegm/mucus is a concern. From time to time the mucus membranes of the nose/throat can bleed as a result of dryness, medication use, trauma, infection. If it is regular or heavy or associated with other symptoms, then have it checked out. Hope this helps!

Need more info: Do you have cough? If the phlegm came from your lungs, it warrants an evaluation. If you have had cough for more than 2 weeks, you ought to see a doctor.
