A member asked:

What are the best foods to eat for a high fiber diet & anemia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Normal diet.: Fiber is not needed to prevent anemia. Most anemias are caused by iron deficiency, especially in young women. Iron rich foods are red meat, dark green leafy vegetables, raisins and liver. The other nturients needed are B12 (mainly animal products) and Folic Acid (vegetables, fruits, nuts, fortified cereals and grains).
