Mindfulness: There are always the latest and greatest new kinds of therapies that seem to come down the pipe. One which seems quite good now has to do with something called: mindfulness therapy. You might want to check it out. Good luck & best wishes.

Possibly: It depends on the severity of the depression. If your depression is severely affecting your ability to function at home/work, a combination of therapy and medication works the best. For more mild symptoms, alternative treatments can be tried such as exercise, vitamins, herbal supplements, support groups, therapy and journaling. If the depression worsens or does not improve please see your doctor.

Natural treatment: Alternative treatments for depression include exercise, eating a healthy diet, herbal supplements ( i.e. 5 htp, same or st john's wort), journaling, support groups and vitamins ( b complex, vitamin d and omega 3).It is best to get evaluated and make sure it is depression and not a medical illness. It isn't a bad thing to ask help. In fact, you already made the first step.

How do I deal with depression without medicine?

It's doable: Situational depression generally resolves when the "situation" resolves. Endogenous depression, ie not primarily due to external events, is a biochemical disorder. Non-drug treatments can improve the chemical imbalances, including psychological counseling and mindfulness therapy (meditation + cognitive therapy) have been shown to restore chemical balance, eg on fmri and spect scans.
