Paradoxically yes: Klonopin is one of the drugs used to treat akathisia (benadryl (diphenhydramine) & beta-blockers are the others) but it can also cause the drug-induced movement disorder. See prescriber for possible alternate drug for condition being treated. If no good alternate, ask about option to use benadryl/beta-blocker to ameliorate akathisia.
