Go back to doctor: The question here is whether there is some underlying serious problem involving the uterus or surrounding structures. Do not delay in this because things can get out of hand quickly. Imaging studies may be appropriate after a full detailed exam by your ob/gyn. Please follow up quickly and hope you are better soon.

See OB, get op note: It is helpful to know what happened during surgery to know what might be happening. The surgeon who performed the C-section is the best one to see. The person providing most OB care would also be a good choice. An exam of the incision site and a pelvic exam (sorry) would be important. Other tests might be ordered. Above all, ask for a copy of the op note while there in case there are more problems.
