Becoming more common: Elective c-sections are becoming more common - and they do have advantages. A planned c-section will not expose your baby to the risks of labor. You will have less risk of injury to your own pelvic floor - and have a greater likelihood of avoiding stress incontinence (losing urine when you cough or sneeze) later in your life. Talk to your doctor about why a c-section delivery feels better to you.
