No more than two!: Any woman having a third or more cesarean section is placing herself in particular risk for serious health complications and/or death. Uterine rupture is seen in 0.5-1% of women with one prior cesarean section of the kerr type and subsequent attempt to deliver vaginally; this likely increases with the number of prior cesareans. Trial of labor after >1 prior kerr hysterotomy should be discouraged.
