Both of my parents are type 1 diabetics what steps can i take to prevent myself from facing the same problems?

No prevention: Up until now there is no way to prevent type 1 diabetes because the apperance of it has nothing to do with lifestyle it is an autoimmune disorder(you make antibodies against the cells that produce insulin.
