Diabetic wound: Diabetes is a progressive vascular disease. The problem with progression is poor sugar control. Ointments and medications control temporarily. Need to change the lifestyle that got you there. Careful foot care and keeping the wound clean and sugars under control more with diet than medication will help. Changing what you are doing is the sure way to get better. Good luck

Diabetic wound: My apologies but I don't quite understand "diabetic wound". If you have a wound somewhere it is not likely to be a "diabetic wound". That said, please contact your doctor, explain your condition/concern, and follow her/his advice. Please let me know how things are going. PS: Do you have type 2 diabetes? If so you should meet with a nurse to help you get rid of diabetes. Yes, that does happen!

Do not treat it: yourself. These wounds are frequently a challenge if there is neuropathy. See a podiatrist asap
