What can i do for my 19 mo old who has a fever of 100.1. ?

Acetaminophen: It's very low grade, so if he's acting normally i probably wouldn't worry about it. But tylenol (acetaminophen) is quite safe and you could give him some to lower the low grade fever.

Fever: Fever is defined as a temperature of 101 and higher, at least in older children. Below that is a gray area where just observation is necessary. Since fever is a natural reaction by the body to quell an infection, you may wait till the temperature reaches 102, the time when discomfort starts, to start treating the fever.
