Gassiness in infants: Oftentimes, persistent burping will release the gas. Compressing the baby's abdomen against your chest or one knee, applying a warm compress on the abdomen, sitting the baby in a container with warm water that covers the belly, and rectal stimulation have been tried. Warmed formula or breast milk also helps. Others have recommended warm chamomile tea, gas drops (simethicone). Try changing formula.
