Gas: Many babies have bowel movement patterns that differ from adults. If it isn't firm, she should be ok. I recommend a formula for sensitive tummies usually "brown down". Also, probiotics can be very helpful. Don't forget bicycling movement with legs, frequent burps, massage, and slowly bending knees and bringing them into the tummy area.

Common: For Babies started on formula soon after birth it is common to develop lots of gas. Reasons cld be 1) lactose intolerance 2) cows milk protein sensitivity 3) neither , with lots of swallowing of air during feeding from a bottle. Discuss these with pediatrician & u may want to try a different formula or bottles to address the problems. One BM a day, esp constipation, is also common with formula .
