Yes: Simethacone is often used for infants gas issues.I am not convinced they do much, but some parents swear by them.

No: Simethecone drops do absorb gas. Is that the infant's problem or does the baby need more burping? If the drops help-good-if not you should visit the pediatrician for advice.
