How can you shrink fibroids without surgery ?

Various: There is no medication to help fibroids shrink permanently. Medications like lupron, (leuprolide) depoprovera, etc may temporarily shrink the masses but their action is time limited. The only way to completely remove them is surgery. However, there are ways to destroy them without surgery as well. These include uterine artery embolization, ultrasound destruction, hysteroscopy if in the cavity.

Surgery if Symptoms: No medication permanently shrinks fibroid tumors. If you have symptoms options exist to help improve them: myomectomy (cutting out fibroids, repairing uterus) for women who desire future pregnancy hysterectomy (fibroid uterus removal), preferably laparoscopic or vaginal routes, best choice if family complete uterine artery embolization - injection of foam to block uterus blood supply.
