Otitis media: Middle ear infections are usually due to blockage of eustacheon tube by infection. This does not allow proper drainage of the middle ear. Children often "outgrow" these infections when the tube changes position as they grow. Sometimes frequent infections can scar the eardrum and may require ear tubes. See a pediatric ENT surgeon for advice.
