Received multiple radiation treatment for recurring sinus / ear infections as a child. could this have caused autoimmune disease later in life?

Head/neck radiation: Radiation for a variety of indications was common until about 1980. Military families report this treatment frequently. There is a subsequent increased incidence of thyroid nodules, Autoimmune thyroiditis. Okay to get in to your regular doc. Check neck exam, thyroid labs and ultrasound. Take friend/family with you to help with asking questions. Be well.
