Health then cosmetic: First and foremost, you should visit the dentist for oral health reasons. Tooth and periodontal health affects the health of your entire body. The dentist should also do a thorough oral cancer screening and check for any and all oral pathology. The dentist and hygienist will advise you on your oral health and give oral hygiene instructions. Oral health always comes first, cosmetic second.
