Sure, but...: As with all other healthtap questions about weight loss strategy, the correct response consistently is: reduce calories & exercise. For every pound less you desire, a simple rule of thumb is to reduce 3000 calories--either by making better food choices, reducing portion size, &/or working out (particularly if correctable metabolic issues like thyroid or adrenal gland disease have been ruled out).
