ICU patients/cathete: When you are admitted to ICU and you are on IV fluids, you need to monitor fluid input and output, and monitor kidney functions., it is very important so the only way you can monitor urinary output around the clock without asking the patients to save the urine and then chart it may be difficult, and when you are so sick to be in ICU why will you be embarassed.
