Anticardiolipin: There is a realtionship to higher amounts of miscarriages with this antibody . About 2% to 4% of the general population has antiphospholipid antibodies, and over half of those have primary anticardiolipin (an antiphospholipid) antibody syndrome. Antiphospholipid syndrome is a factor in about 15% of women who have recurrent miscarriages.
