BMI between 25-30: A bmi, which is a calculation based on height and weight, between 25-30 is considered "overweight." a bmi greater than 30 is classified as "obese." and a bmi between 18-25 is classified as "normal weight.".

The BMI.: Our current definitions for normal weight, overweight and obesity are based on the BMI. It's a governmental index, and it's not perfect but it works. http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/educational/lose_wt/BMI/bmicalc.htm
