Wound care: Keep the wound clean with gentle soap and water, place a small amount of antibiotic ointment on the wound, followed by a clean dressing. Do this 2x/day. Once there is no more scabbing or crusting, you can switch to a product like scar fade or scar recovery gel to promote faster healing and a less noticeable scar.

Neosporin: Keep it clean. Often neosporin or other antibiotic creams will keep it moist and help healing, and minimize scarring. After it is healed, applying topical silicone can help with the scar.
