Contratubex first: Contratubex antiinflammatory and moisturizing properties should benefit scar remodeling over time, ameliorate and blend appearance, and hopefully keep scar from entering a hypertrophic stage. That said, silicone creams/tapes/films work indirectly by inducing a relative hypoxemia/collagenolysis thereby softening a hypertrophic scar over time. Both require consistent, long term application.
