Not necessarily: While you likely have some adhesions, there may be only a few or many depending on factors such as whether the surgery was open or laparoscopic, or whether the appendix was ruptured. Even if you do have adhesions, usually they will not damage your ovaries.

Probably not: Any surgical procedure on the abdomen can cause adhesions. They are a normal part of healing. In many people, they disappear completely. A few may have lasting adhesions, but they usually cause no problems. Some people do have worse adhesions that can cause bowel obstruction. Adhesions usually do not damage the ovaries or interfere with fertility.

Adhesions: Any abdominal operative procedure can cause adhesions. There is no way to predict how many adhesions, if any, one will get after the surgery. After appendectomy, adhesions around the right ovary and fallopian tube are conceivable. It is unlikely however that these adhesions would be on both the right and left sides.
