Two months after having stitches out and it's starting to hurt about 1/2 inches away from it, is that normal? i had 12 stitches.

Stitches: This is not unusual but certainly does not fall into the 'normal' category. You should have the area seen by a clinician to make sure that there is no retained fluid pockets or an infection.

Not really: There are some normal complications that may occur postopertively. One of the more common that I have seen is a suture abscess. This is where the dissolvable sutures are not dissolving and they work their way out of the skin. Depending on the type of procedure you had you may have some other problems. Check with your surgeon.
