Suture removal: Surgeons use sutures to hold body tissues together. They came in about a dozen varieties. Those that are visible, are typically non absorbable and are removed in 10-14 days. Those that are buried underneath of the skin, are either absorbable or non absorbable depending on the area of the body and the tissues being held together. A visible stitch 2 years later is unusual. You should see a md.
