How should i treat my baby's cut?

BABY's CUT: It depends on the cut. First clean it with soap and water and put a band- aid on it. If deep and bleeding, put pressure on the cut by clamping the two edges together with your fingers, then put a butterfly band- aid to coaptate the edges. Keep clean and dry. Cover with gauze. Recheck in two days, if wet and infected see your md for rx.

Use common first aid: Treat a new cut by quickly applying pressure to stop the bleeding. Then the wound would be cleansed with warm soapy water--rinsing it well with clean water. If it continues to bleed, then these cuts usually require traditional stitches or the newer liquid stitches; that would require a visit to the er. Once the bleeding is stopped, then a simple antibiotic cream and bandaid dressing will suffice.
