Probably not: There is however, a medical food, axona, which uses ketone bodies as a fuel to substitute for abnormal glucose metabolism. Coconut oil is not known to have benefit in alzh pts.

No evidence for it.: Some people report personal success with coconut oil. There are theoretical reasons it might help as well as harm. No controlled studies have shown benefit.

Possibly: Some people feel that coconut oil helped them greatly. However, there are few research studied and one indicates that it may be useful only for people who do not have apolipoproten e4 gen.
