Listerine is safe: Listerine is safe when used as directed. If overused, listerine can irritate the oral tissues. When used properly it is an excellent antibacterial mouthwash.

Use as directed: Too much mouthwash is not good due to the alcohol content in many. Use it as directed. Read the label.
