Doctor will instruct: The preparatory steps will be provided by your oral surgeon. For example, if you have certain medical conditions, some change in your medical regimen may be required (e.g., reducing blood-thinning medication, taking preoperative antibiotics). If you anticipate having sedation/general anesthesia, you should fast for at least six hours prior to your visit, and be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Follow Drs orders: Most oral surgeons recommend starting an 800mg dose of ibuprofen, every 6 hours, 24 hours prior to the extractions! floss and brush well so you have a cleam mouth just before surgery! no food or drink 12 hours prior and have things like drinkable yogurt and shakes to consume the day or two after surgery!

Stay healthy: If you smoke then stop, stop taking Aspirin and nsdaid's a week prior, eat a healthy well balanced diet, try to stay healthy, brush, floss and use a mouth rinse to maximize your oral health, don't eat or drink anything from midnight the night before (assuming some type of anesthesia), have another adult driver come with you.
