Head elevation and..: Cold compresses on the eyes. I am not a fan of ice or frozen peas, but a washcloth soaked in cold water and wrung out will work just fine. The blood supply to the eyelids is excellent, so while they quickly swell, they will also quickly resolve with the treatments above.

Ice & elevation: Keep your head elevated for 48 hrs after surgery and ice the surgery sites for 10 minutes every hour while awake. Ask your surgeon for the best means of cooling (cold compress, frozen peas, etc). Lower lid blepharoplasty often has longer swelling than uppers. How much swelling (edema) depends on the type of work that needed to be done.
