You lose a lot: Fruits and vegetables have hundreds, if not thousands of nutrients that no supplement can provide. They also give you good fiber which promotes good digestion and elimination and protects against heart disease and cancer for starters! supplements are for supplementing, not replacing, food.

Do not: Don't replace fruits and veggies. These are essential sources of minerals. Vitamin supplements are helpful.
