A member asked:

What does it mean to have a gluten allergy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Gluten sensativity: Physicians usually refer to this as gluten sensitivity or intolerance. Its not a true allergy. Many use this term incorrectly. Historically this term has referred to celiac disease which is a condition that results in abdominal pain, bloating, changes in stools, weight loss, fatigue, and weakness when someone with this problem consumes foods with gluten.
